A private room often used in Lebanese and Levantine Arabic dialect to refer to a part or division of a building enclosed by walls, floor, and ceiling.

As its name suggests, Vera Cocina & بار is a celebration of two cultures that are as close to each other in hospitality and warmth as they are far in location.
Just like in any Lebanese or Mexican home, our family of servers and our chef Jorge Baron invite you into our “Uda” for a more intimate and elegant setting where we will be dedicated to providing you with a memorable dining experience that is tailored to your specific needs and preferences.
Whether you are planning a business meeting, a family gathering, or a larger get together with close friends, we are committed to making you and your party experience the feeling of being invited into the private dining room of a Lebanese or Mexican family.

Atrio

A central hall or courtyard in a modern building, with rooms or galleries opening off it, often glass-covered.

At the heart of our home lies a warm atrium that is covered by a large skylight, which allows natural light to filter into our space. The ground is covered in gravel, which gives the courtyard a natural feel. Plants are placed all around, adding greenery and a pop of color. Finally, a hanging wicker chandelier, handmade in Mexico, adds a touch of artisanal craftsmanship and authenticity to the room.
The room contains two large seating booths on each end, with café trottoir-style seating in between.
The combination of these natural materials and sense of openness and tranquility makes the atrium a one-of-a-kind venue for you and your party to unwind and relax after a long day.

Rooftop

Our unique rooftop features a state-of-the-art retractable ceiling system that allows for an open-air experience and late parties under the open sky.

The DJ booth occupies the center of the space, surrounded by a high–quality sound system. The entire area is surrounded by beautiful planters filled with cactus and other Mexican-inspired succulents. The rooftop is illuminated with warm indirect lighting that creates an intimate and inviting atmosphere. Our natural and earthy colors and wall art designed by local DC-based artists create a harmonious ambiance that teleports guests onto a natural oasis away from the city noise.
Our rooftop includes a large bar and dining seating area as well as a private lounge area with comfortable seating and cushions, perfect for private parties and events. Our seats and cushions are custom-tailored and arranged to provide ample seating for guests while still maintaining an open and spacious feel. Overall, our rooftop provides the best of both worlds – the beauty of nature and the comfort of a cozy and upscale bar experience.

Main Room

Our main room on the ground level offers a variety of seating options ranging from comfortable lounge couches, dining tables, and bar stools.

Overlooking the entire room is another DJ booth with high-quality sound system and a bed of planters and greenery hanging across the whole venue.
Behind the bar in the main room sits a backdrop of our signature tiles inspired by traditional Mediterranean tiles with a modern twist. Perfect for large but intimate events, this room is best suited to host business events, as well as larger social gatherings.
